What is a Netflow?
Netflow is a feature that was introduced in Cisco routers whose function is to collect characteristics and information about IP network traffic, both outbound and inbound from an interface.
How does Made4Flow work?
Netflow information is exported to Made4Flow, where it is read and intelligence is applied to generate traffic graphs.
What are the benefits of the system?
With Made4Flow you can find out specifically about your network traffic, which ASNs you communicate with the most or which ASNs your traffic is destined for, how much each prefix of your ASN is carrying.

No, Made4Flow works differently from a monitoring system like Zabbix, Dude, Cacti or PRTG. In our system you have specific information about your traffic, unlike those systems which give you information about total traffic in their interface.
In the monitoring system you can see the total amount, in Made4Flow you can see the specific traffic on each interface. How much within that interface was from Facebook or how much within your interface went to your ASN or the ASN of your Transit Clients.
Which router models can I export Netflow information from?
Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, Mikrotik, Vyos, HP/3com routers or switches or any equipment that supports Netflow v5 or v9 export.
What are the requirements for Made4Flow?
Made4Flow works with a Server installed locally on the Customer’s infrastructure and our Application connects to this server to apply intelligence and display the Network’s input and output graphs.
The locally installed server can be a VM (Virtual Machine) or on a physical machine.
Can I try the free software?
Yes, you can run a trial for up to 15 days. The information can be sent to a Made4Flow server, where your network information will be stored and you can test the system with your traffic information.
Which router can I export Flow information from?
The most suitable equipment for exporting information is your Edge/BGP Router, which connects to your IP Transit Operators, PTT Connection (IX’s) and CDN Router.
Where is the data and information stored?
All the data is stored on a local server within the client’s infrastructure. Made4Flow connects to this server to process the intelligence and display the graphs in a simple and intuitive way.
